When you press into this you leave an imprint, just like in the picture. When you read reviews of "similar" products you'll find many of them don't. That's because many apparent good deals are actually lower quality, less dense foam. This is the real thing at a great price. So I expected to receive a 4.3 lbs rating mattress. When the mattress arrived, and the shipping weight was 18 lbs, I knew something was wrong. The mattress alone should have weighed over 25 lbs plus the weight of the box. Big disappointment. The 4.3 that Cloud 9 quotes is their subjective "comfort factor". Needless to say - it went back. However, I will say that the folks at SIU were great about returning it. I just bought another one for my neighbor because she has a lot of muscle pain. I no longer wake up with sore muscles, so I am sure she is going to get a lot of reflief and sleep better at night.
